Always Interrupted.

I create original abstract paintings. Layers of color and texture abound, and more often than not, several days or even several weeks pass by in between the layers. The result is a canvas reflecting a collection of experiences and thoughts over time, whether it's been three hours, three days, or three weeks.

I'm pretty susceptible to life's little distractions, but by honoring that as an important part of the creative process, the interruptions actually become the inspiration. And for me, expressing life's interruptions--by putting paint on a canvas and creating something beautiful--brings a joy that can't be interrupted. 

I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History with a minor in Art History from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. I earned my Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. I am a practicing member of the State Bar of Texas. Born in Birmingham, Alabama and raised in Mobile, I've dwelled in Minnesota, Baltimore, London, and New York. I now live with my two beautiful sons and my very kind and patient Brazilian husband just outside of Dallas.
